Balog Looking to Bounce Back with an All Star Circuit of Champions Homecoming
Hartland, Wisconsin (June 2nd, 2021) – Following two rain cancellations and a postponed visit to the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” for the Bob Weikert Memorial action on Monday, May 31, Bill Balog and B Squared Motorsports are looking forward to an All Star Circuit of Champions homecoming campaign with a return trip to the Midwest. Bill and the team are set to join “America’s Series,” and the IRA Outlaw Sprint Series for a four race swing in his homeland of Illinois and Wisconsin.
“It was a long drive home from Pennsylvania after the rain and a DNF. It feels good to be home and know that we have a set of notes (good and bad) for each track this weekend.” said Balog, the North Pole Alaska native, but current resident of Harland, WI.
The FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 Series goes head-to-head with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series for a four-race stint through Illinois and Wisconsin. The weekend kicks off beginning Thursday, June 3, at the legendary Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois and continues with three nights in southern Wisconsin, kicking-off officially on Friday, June 4, at the Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot. Action will move to the Plymouth Dirt Track at Sheboygan County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 5, followed by a Sunday night visit to Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie on June 6.
“I’m looking forward to having my two sons at the track, racing against the IRA series cars and being able to see sponsors, friends and the Midwest fans. We’ve had good success at all the tracks we’ll see this weekend, so it’s great to have that experience but with the level of competition we know we need to unload with speed to capitalize on any advantage we might have.” said Balog, the 10x IRA champ said.
