Jim Wipperfurth Memorial This Weekend!!
Bristol, WI – April 22, 2014. After losing last week’s Interstate Racing Association’s season opener at the Oshkosh Speedzone due to Wisconsin’s winter weather, Bill and the B2 Motorsports look to get their racing season underway this weekend at the Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, WI for the Jim Wipperfurth Memorial. Bill and the B2 Motorsports team have picked up the last two Jim Wipperfurth Memorial races in exciting fashion. Two years ago when Bill won the feature, it was his 18th victory of the season setting the all-time mark for feature wins in a season in Interstate Racing Association history. Last year Bill made a last lap, last corner pass on Mike Kertscher to beat him out for the hardware by a record setting time of .009 seconds, the closest in Interstate Racing Association history.
Even though the race at the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway was lost last weekend, Bill and the 17B sprinter were still out and about as they were at B2 Motorsports’ newest sponsor, Rocky Rococo’s in Milwaukee, for the “Salute to Racing” car show. Several fans stopped by to see Bill and the car. Bill was also on Sportsradio 1250 AM’s “Sparky’s Final Inspection” radio show along with Jereme Schroeder and Scott Uttech who were also in attendance.
After this week’s event at the Beaver Dam Raceway, Bill and the team will tentatively head to Knoxville, IA on Saturday, May 3rd to the Knoxville Raceway for a weekly contest. The team will then head back to Oshkosh, WI for the make-up date at the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway on Sunday, May 4th with the Interstate Racing Association.
